Hatha Yoga, Thursdays* 7pm-8.30pm, Iffley OX4

Incorporates postures, breathing practises and yoga nidra with a focus on restoring the mind, body and senses to their natural state of equanimity. This is your opportunity to retreat to a peaceful space away from the stresses of everyday life. There will be physical challenges but we are looking to develop a genuinely healthy relationship with our bodies, so the focus will be on 'relaxed effort' rather than a forceful approach to exercise. This class is open to all levels and takes place in the beautiful venue of Iffley Church Hall, OX4 4EG.

Yoga Nidra, 1st Monday of every month, 9.30am-10.30am, Appleton OX13

Start the month with a total, deep rest, making the way for clarity, insight and a feeling of being completely restored. A guided class in which your only task is to lie down and be skilfully lulled into a state of profound relaxation. Open to all, whether you’re restless, tired, overly energised(!) or simply interested in connecting with that part of you that remains when all else (thoughts, feelings, worries…) is gone. James specialises in the iRest Yoga Nidra protocol, created by Richard Miller, PhD, a clinical psychologist, author, researcher, yogic scholar and founder of the Integrative Restoration Institute (IRI). James is the only IRI-sponsored teacher trainer in Europe.

A private session with James can include any or all of the following: yoga nidra, hatha yoga, meditation and yoga therapy. Working one-one allows for a uniquely tailored practice or a means to explore especially sensitive issues. Sometimes, you don't know what you need until you turn up and with James see where you go.
James delivers most private sessions at the Restful Being studio, a small, peaceful space just outside Oxford (OX13 5JH), though he is also able to visit you in your own home/space and work remotely via Skype. Most 1-1 sessions are offered on Fridays and cost £60 per hour/£90 for 90 mins. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to make an enquiry.

Please note that because demand often exceeds spaces refunds are only given in exceptional circumstances to ensure committed attendees secure a place:
Private sessions: Full refund up to 48 hours’ notice; otherwise the fee for the allotted appointment time (and travel time where applicable) will be charged in full.
Workshops and retreats: For longer retreats you will typically be required to pay a non-refundable deposit and then the full fee one month before the start. Workshop spaces are often very limited and in most cases a refund cannot be offered unless someone on the waiting list is able to take your space.
