We run a weekly hatha yoga class in Oxford and James teaches a yoga nidra class in London at triyoga Shoreditch every Wednesday. You can also arrange a private session with James tailored to meet your specific needs, whether that's to simply go deeper into your yoga practice or seek relief and understanding of a particular challenge, emotional or physical (more info below). You can also practice a number of classes and courses with James online via Ekhart Yoga.

About our Yoga classES

Our weekly hatha yoga classes in Oxford offer the chance to retreat to a safe, peaceful space, away from the stresses of everyday life. We explore postures, breathwork and relaxation intended to restore the mind, body and senses to their natural state of equanimity. There will be physical challenges, but we are looking to develop a genuinely healthy relationship with our bodies, so the focus will be on 'relaxed effort' rather than a forceful approach to exercise. Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket/other props, though we will have a few spare if you are unable to supply your own. Our yoga nidra classes in London explore the state of being ‘wakefully asleep’ as a basis for self inquiry and restoration. It can be a profoundly enlightening and healing experience. All mats/props provided.


Private sessions

Restful Being private classes can include any/all of the following: yoga nidra, hatha yoga, meditation and yoga therapy. These sessions allow for a uniquely tailored practice or a means to explore especially sensitive issues in a completely safe environment.

The Restful Being studio is a small, peaceful space just outside Oxford (OX13 5JH). For private group classes it can accommodate anything from one up to six people for physical practice, or up to 15 for sitting meditation.

James is also able to visit people in their own homes/studios, providing anything from 1-2 hour sessions to long customised retreats, and can deliver sessions via Skype.

Most 1-1 sessions are offered on Fridays at our studio and cost £60 per hour/£90 for 90 mins. Please email hello@restfulbeing.com to make an enquiry.

You can practise at home with James by signing up to Ekhart Yoga and following his programmes there.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note that because demand often exceeds spaces refunds are only given in exceptional circumstances to ensure committed attendees secure a place:

Private sessions: Full refund up to 48 hours’ notice; otherwise the fee for the allotted appointment time (and travel time where applicable) will be charged in full.

Workshops and retreats: For longer retreats you will typically be required to pay a non-refundable deposit and then the full fee one month before the start. Workshop spaces are often very limited and in most cases a refund cannot be offered unless someone on the waiting list is able to take your space.
